Tina Kaufeld, DVM | Country Cat Clinic of WashtenawDr. Kristine Kaufeld is a 1983 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. Dr. Kaufeld co-founded the Ann Arbor Cat Clinic in 1987. In 1996, she established the Country Cat Clinic to fulfill her dream of treating cats in a quiet, relaxed, country environment. Dr. Kaufeld is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Michigan Veterinarian Association.

Laura Racey, DVM | Country Cat Clinic of WashtenawDr. Laurie J. Racey graduated from Michigan State University in 1991. She spent her first seven years in companion animal practice, first in Caledonia, Michigan and then in Springfield, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC. In 1998, she joined Kingstowne Cat Clinic in Alexandria, Virginia where she experienced the joys and challenges of feline-exclusive medicine for most of the next 7 years. She now resides in Plymouth with her husband of 20 + years, Jerry Winberry, their four children, and three cats.

Caryn Walker, LVT | Country Cat Clinic of WashtenawCaryn Walker, LVT is a 2007 graduate of Wayne County Community College. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2003 and joined the team at Country Cat Clinic in 2009. Caryn and her husband have a cat, Theo, a boxer, Layla, a sugar glider, George and a 30 gallon tropical fish tank.

Susan Burd, LVT | Country Cat Clinic of WashtenawSusan Burd, LVT is a 2005 graduate of Wayne County Community College with an Associate in Applied Sciences specializing in Veterinary Technology and also holds a Bachelor Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Business Administration. Susan has always had a love of animals, especially cats, and has wanted to be in the veterinary field since she was 4 years old.

Susan was a client of Country Cat Clinic prior to working there while struggling with the illness of her beloved cat, Kabuki. Susan now has 8 cats: Rascal, Bubby, Crybaby, Snickers (pictured), George, Xerox, Kegan, and Rainy. Susan’s love and dedication to the job and cats makes her a great addition to the clinic.

Erin Winterhalter | Country Cat Clinic of WashtenawErin Winterhalter has worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Country Cat Clinic from July 1997 to December 2001 and then from May 2004 until present. During her time away, she studied bats and completed her Masters degree in Physiology from Eastern Michigan University.

She loves cats (obviously!) as well as dogs, horses, bats, and snakes. Working with Dr. Kaufeld’s feline patients is great, but Erin loves taking any opportunity to work with the horses on the property. She also enjoys assisting with the feral cat “trap, neuter, release” program to decrease the overwhelming feral cat population in the area. Erin and her husband are proudly owned by four cats (Vince, Brenner, Hiro, and Sawyer), two dogs (Ripley and Riley), and one python (Lars).

Rachel Dedinsky has worked as a Veterinary Assistant at the Country Cat Clinic since 2007. She is aspiring to go to  veterinary school in the future to become a veterinarian. Rachel and her husband have one cat, Cleo.

 

Laura Fabian started with us in Spring 2011. She is currently attending Wayne County Community College working towards achieving her Veterinary Technician License. She has 4 cats Molly, Tyler, Odie and Beasley which she adopted from our very own foster program. She has a true passion for animals and cannot wait to meet you and your kitty.

 

Eric Wright, our newest team member, started with us in October 2011. He has a black lab mix named Ollie. He is in the process of applying to vet school at MSU and currently has a degree in Biology and Spanish from U of M. He is eager to meet you and learn about your cat and their needs!
