Dr. Adams - Veterinarian

Dr. Tracy Adams

Dr. Tracy Adams graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology in 1997. She always knew she wanted to be a small animal veterinarian, but solidified that decision after working full-time as a veterinary technician for 2 years before applying to veterinary schools. She is a 2004 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. During veterinary school, she was an active member of several clubs and was president of the Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Dr. Adams is excited to join Country Cat Clinic in April 2021! She started her career at a small animal practice in Farmington, MI after graduating in 2004 and worked there for 12 years. In 2016, she took a position in Allen Park, MI, where she practiced for 3 years. More recently, she worked at a veterinary hospital in Commerce, MI and picked up shifts at low cost vaccination clinics across the metro Detroit area. Her professional interests include diagnosing and managing canine and feline internal medicine cases, preventative medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and senior pet care. She enjoys building relationships with clients and bonding with the patients.

Dr. Adams is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (SEMVMA), and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). She served on council for SEMVMA 2008 through 2016, was President of the SEMVMA in 2011, and newsletter editor for most of her tenure. Dr. Adams attends continuing education seminars locally and nationally, and enjoys online continuing education webinars to stay current on relevant topics in small animal veterinary medicine.

In her spare time outside of caring for her patients, Dr. Adams enjoys spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities, traveling, cooking, and cuddling up on the couch watching a good movie or a favorite show. She is the proud mother of two teenage boys and two furry felines (Arnie and Eazy). She will soon be adding a new member to her family, a Burmese kitten! Dr. Adams is engaged to her fiancé of 5 years, and she and Alex plan to get married in July 2022.
