Dr. Christina Larsen
Dr. Christina Larsen joined Country Cat Clinic in 2017. She holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master’s of Science in Veterinary Science from Tuskegee University in Alabama, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Animal Science from McNeese State University in Louisiana. She was very involved in the gastroenterology laboratory while pursuing her master’s degree, and authored several scientific publications. Her passion for feline medicine is what prompted her to become a veterinarian. While attending veterinary school, she served as President of the TUCVM Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She also received the AAFP Outstanding Senior Award for her graduating class.
Post graduation, Dr. Larsen moved to Michigan where she worked at a cat-only practice for the three years prior to joining Country Cat Clinic. She really enjoys feline-focused continuing education and is always looking to learn more. She is currently enrolled in the Center of Veterinary Education feline medicine two-year course as she works towards her goal of ABVP board certification in feline medicine.
Dr. Larsen lives with her husband, young son, two cats, one dog and a Congo African Gray Parrot. She has many strong interests within feline medicine; however, she has particular interests in gastrointestinal diseases, treating the geriatric patient and feline behavior. She is a member of Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), American Society of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
